The Order of the Eastern Star is affiliated with the Masonic Fraternity.  It was established as an organization for the wives, mothers, daughters, and nieces of Master Masons. While it is a women’s’ organizations, Masons may join.

The Greenville Chapter of the Eastern Star was chartered on October 15, 1903.  The presiding officer is the Worthy Matron who serves a one-year term.  This Chapter holds an annual Chili, Beans, and Jeans Dinner to raise money for college scholarships.  They also contribute to community charity projects in addition to the special projects of the Worthy Grand Matron, Grand Chapter of Texas.

Individuals who are interested in joining Greenville Chapter 189 are welcome.  A Masonic family tie is necessary.  Candidates must also be at least 18 years of age.  The membership will read, investigate, and ballot on a candidate before initiation.

Greenville Chapter has been a member of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce since 2021.
